Thirteen 747 cargo planes come to Nigeria daily, offloading cargo and then flying back empty. Sometimes, they have to use sandbags to stabilise the aircraft. what a shame

Audi Ogbeh
Minister of Agriculture and
Rural Development

In addition to what the Minister said, 5 of every 6 ships which berth in Nigeria return to their base empty.
The only one which leaves with cargo is filled with Charcoal, Gypsum Salt and Sesame Seeds.

180 million people eating, sleeping and contributing nothing to the world. All we do is drill oil, sell, bank the money and share the proceeds !!!

Pathetic... But let me tell you. It is not really the people being lazy, it's bad government incompetent and terrible economic policies. Ease of doing business is not there.

If you try exporting your Goods from Nigeria.. From transportation, to standard organizations, to corporate registration, to ports etc the level of bribe you'll need to pay to make progress will make your product too expensive to compete with other country's. Corruption & terrible policies care crippling the economy

The government give customs financial target without bordering to know if it is realistic... The custom officers & their comptroller try to meet up to please their oga at the top with arbitrary seizures & heavy duty of/on goods, making businesses to operate at a loss

For a large country as big as Nigeria tribal rivalry & political divisions made them have only one functional sea port in Lagos...

Warri & PH was short down in an attempt to keep the Igbo man down... How do you expect a product from Benue to get to Lagos without incurring more costs on transport & warehouse storage to wait weeks for ports bureaucracy? That is if the good survive the bad road leading to Lagos.

You can imaging that...

Until to decentralization of power happens, Nigeria remains a joke

Restructuring is the answer... Almost all states are semi autonomous in America.. Just checkout the economy.
